Discover some of the world’s most incredible animals at Jersey Zoo.

Set in 32 acres of stunning mature woodland, open greens and wetland valleys in the rural parish of Trinity, this zoological park was established in 1959 by naturalist and author Gerald Durrell.

Jersey Zoo is world renowned for its conservation work and home to over 130 species of animal, many of which are endangered or vulnerable in the wild.

Meet the mighty, but surprisingly gentle gorilla family – made famous by grandfather ‘Jambo’ who tenderly guarded an injured boy who fell into his enclosure in 1986. See the group of Sumatran orangutans, or be amazed at the sheer diversity and sizes, colours and shapes of reptiles, amphibians and birds, all living in spacious, naturalistic enclosures.
